Clemson Inventors Honored with 2024 InnoVision Awards



The 2024 InnoVision Awards recognized groundbreaking innovations from two companies with ties to the Clemson University Research Foundation, highlighting the collaborative efforts between industry and academia.

MyUI.ai, winner in the Community Service category, leverages technology originally developed at Clemson University by Dr. Julian Brinkley, a faculty entrepreneur and the company's Founder & CEO. This advanced artificial intelligence technology, developed by Dr. Brinkley’s lab at Clemson, is now transforming user interface design and streamlining technology interaction in various sectors. Dr. Brinkley’s work exemplifies how faculty-led innovations can transition from the university lab to the marketplace, creating valuable new solutions.

Apex Orthopaedics, winner in the Technology Development category, benefits from licensed technology developed collaboratively by Drs. Hai Yao and Gregory Wright at Clemson University and Dr. David Gross at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Yao, Co-Founder & CEO of Apex Orthopaedics, has played a pivotal role in bringing the company’s groundbreaking orthopedic technology to address real-life problems and patients.
